'Attacker of Hornet' is a standard Halcyon 27 class yacht designed by Alan Buchanan and was produced by Offshore Yachts Ltd. from 1968. This example was built in 1974 for the MOD and used as a sail training vessel until 1990 when she was sold into private ownership. she is Part 1 Registered in Southampton.
The design is a folkboat derivative but with increased space below and 6' headroom in the saloon. The class is well-known as a seaworthy offshore cruiser and has a dedicated following. She has a classic long keel and is a strong, solidly-built boat that is ideal for a small family or single-handed. The present owner has undertaken 8 single-handed Channel crossings to France and to Alderney.
'Attacker' has been well-maintained throughout its current ownership and is at present ashore in Gosport, Hampshire for routine maintenance. Last survey was in 2017. Available for inspection.
My deep-water swinging mooring is available on Attacker's purchase on separate application to the mooring providers. Included in the mooring fee is a launch service to and from mooring at prescribed times.
