Description
Eborana,
Macwester 27 MRK1 -1974. GRP bilge keel sailing boat.
Great example of the Mk I version of the C S J Roy designed Macwester 27, a popular and very tough bilge keel family cruiser with a lot of space for a boat of its size, 4 to 5 berth an a cruising speed of about 5.0 kts.
She has Been in the same ownership since 2004 the boat has been heavily refurbished including new engine fitted in 2005 in mast furling fitted new Jib fitted this year, New upholstery. Eborana has been looked after and use as a family cruising boat since 2004 by my family, she has always been maintained and kept up together and used most of the year all year round, she has heating on board engine and diesel heating hot air or with mains hook up, she is quite capable of running on her own power. She has 2 x 85 empire leisure batteries amidship and 110amp hour battery forward and a starter battery in the engine Bay. Battery switch 1-2 off and both switch, charging through 45amp alternator and 100w solar panel.
Eborana has been sailed extensively along the South Coast of England and the French coast, Channel Islands and down as far as St Marlo.
A very seaworthy boat that will keep you and your family safe warm and dry if needed.
Will cruise at 5 knots under engine at about 6 knots on sail with a good wind. Economical burning about 1.2 litres an hour of diesel.
